Samsung LN-T4061
You shouldn’t have any trouble getting the LN-T4061 up and running. Every connector that you might want to plug something into points outward; most of them are on the back, with a few extras on the side for easy access.The menus are compact and readable, and if you can’t read them easily enough, you can make the background opaque. When you select sources, the LN-T4061 skips the ones that have nothing plugged into them; these appear grayed out on the Sources menu. You can rename your sources if you feel that DVD or VCR tell you more than HDMI 1 or S-Video 2, but you must select names from the supplied list–you can’t enter your own.

An Innovative Dell OptiPlex 740
Dell offers the OptiPlex 740, a system from its business desktops line, in minitower, desktop (horizontal orientation), and ultracompact versions. The inexpensively configured minitower tested ($1024 as of 05/09/2007) had an inoffensive design, using mostly matte-black plastic but also a few shiny black pieces. The Best of Cell Phones ‘Consumer Report’
Consumer Reports has put out its regular list of the best cell phones and carriers. Though this time around, I’m more in agreement with the results, like last year there were a few phones on the list I didn’t love quite as much. And I’m surprised again as to just how many older models are included. Given Consumer Reports’ lead time, keep in mind that none of the phones introduced in the last couple months (such as the LG Voyager) are on the list, but by and large it’s quite comprehensive.
